Photo shoot Valentine gift ideaspinimage

The clock is ticking to get that Valentine’s Day gift for your significant other, so consider gifting a re-take of your wedding portraits. This isn’t exclusively a Valentine’s Day offer for Seattle couples, but Valentine’s Day sure is a great time to book  a “Take 2” wedding portrait session.  1 hour sessions start at $375  and include a 5×5 Image Folio. Add hair and Makeup (recommended!) for $75, or upgrade if you like.

So many couples have said to me that they were disappointed by their wedding photos, and I feel awful for them every time! You can’t redo an entire wedding, and that wouldn’t be as meaningful anyways. But you can take the wedding portraits again, and you’d probably have way more fun without the added stress of a wedding day!  Not to mention more time to take those photos!

So, if you’re looking for a nice Valentine’s Day gift for your partner, and you still fit in your wedding clothes 😉 , then contact me to book your session! If you’re not quite ready, consider buying  a “Take 2” gift card to give to your partner now and schedule your session later, up to 4 months from the date of purchase. It will be nice to hand over something tangible that you can use later.

I do have some availability on Valentine’s weekend though. It would be a very romantic thing to do! 🙂

While I am a Seattle family photographer, I welcome the opportunity to shoot outside of Seattle, especially when I am introduced to a cool location like Bothell Landing! In this case the opportunity was to photograph the children of two close families. The moms wanted some nice photos of the kids for their husbands for Christmas, but I’m glad they popped in for a few of themselves too.

This was a super fun, high energy shoot! How can it not be with 2-4 year old kids that love playing with each other?! We managed to keep them still (relatively) for a few group shots, but I really love all the candids in this set. There are a lot more, but I don’t want to overwhelm you with cuteness! And I couldn’t have asked for a prettier area to shoot something like this. Bothell Landing is definitely my new favorite photo spot North of Seattle!

Fellow photographers, Rachel and Terence, flattered me beyond compare when they asked me about my availability before they even booked their Alexis Hotel wedding venue! I was very excited to work with them, although I admit being nervous to shoot a wedding for another photographer, let alone two!  Anyway, everything went off without a hitch except for the intended one (I’ve been holding off on making that joke, but the time has come), despite being sick during this Fall wedding.

The first time I did photography at Seattle’s Alexis Hotel was for a boudoir Valentine’s shoot. I got to experience the venue’s uniqueness and hospitality first hand. The Alexis Hotel has so many distinctive qualities, which went hand in hand with all of the unique elements present in this wedding. Not only did Terence’s family travel all the way from China to see him married, but they and Rachel’s family also participated in the Chinese Tea Ceremony that preceded the wedding. The cool centerpieces and vases were made by Terence’s company’s 3D printers, some of which were in the printing process before and during the wedding. Terence even made a ring “bearer” machine to go down the aisle, which was controlled by the flower girl. And my favorite part of the reception was a video documenting the proposal scavenger hunt. That was too funny for words!

Rachel and Terence put a lot of thought and energy into this wedding, and even into the proposal. It was an honor to photograph their Alexis Hotel wedding!

Do you know what you’re giving your partner for Valentine’s day? Consider sweet, sexy photos of you! Please no selfies! These should be well executed, flattering, and fun. I am not known primarily as a Seattle boudoir photographer, but on this special occasion, I am offering up just such a shoot for anyone who is interested in a unique gift that will linger on. I did the same thing last year for a few lucky ladies who put their fears aside, and they ended up having a blast and loving the photos! Here is a post from last year’s shoot: https://www.traciehowe.com/valentines-boudoir-shoot-seattle/

Keep in mind that I don’t do this often, so this is most likely  your last chance for a while. Yours would be one in a series of back to back 30 minute sessions with hair and makeup included in the price. Short and sweet so that I can do several in one day, which means less cost for you! That’s the essence of a mini session. However, if 10 digital files doesn’t satisfy you, I am happy to offer up tiny little books or larger albums if this is your interest. I mean, it would be nice to give something tangible, right? 🙂

Anyway, if you’re hesitating, please don’t fret! My makeup artist, Hanna, will put you at ease as soon as you arrive. You’ll start to relax a little and when it comes time for your session, I’ll do my best to make sure you’re comfortable. You can tell me how much you want to be covered up and we’ll start there. Then if you feel like you can prance around in lingerie by the end, that is totally up to you, but you certainly don’t have to! And as you can see from my previous post on this kind of shoot, I will only post what you are comfortable showing. If this sounds like a plan, then contact me at tracie@traciehowe.com and let me know your availability for January 26th. Then we can chat more about details. Hurry though! Space is limited!
