Photography has always been a part of my life, but it wasn’t until people kept pointing out my natural eye for composing images that I became more aware of what I was doing with it. I started to see the aesthetic potential in everyday things that I never really noticed before. I became completely absorbed in the process when I found an exciting new subject to photograph. I got a little thrill with each release of the shutter that I had never found with anything else. I had finally found my perfect travel companion in photography. My travels have been the biggest inspiration for me, fine-tuning my vision, and allowing me to shoot subjects that are emotionally moving and visually stunning. My father, Philip Howe, a talented local artist, has also been a big influence in my work. Growing up with him and learning more as a graduate of Western Washington University’s Fine Arts program, has contributed to my development as an artist. With inspiration from other mentors and fellow photographers, my photography continues to evolve in subject matter and technique. Since settling down for awhile in Seattle, I’ve been focusing on portrait and wedding photography. Now my wedding photography business is really starting to blossom and I am really happy with the way things are going!
