A little about the chica behind the camera…
Once I figured out that photography was my thing, I knew it would be that way forever. I was happy to finally realize that, after I decided to let go of the dream of being a painter like my dad, Philip Howe . I studied painting in college and I was actually pretty good, but I lacked the passion for it that I saw in my dad. I even became a little depressed when I realized that I would never be that kind of artist.
It was after exploring the world a bit and taking along a camera, that I finally figured out my dream. One day it just hit me! I could be creative in another way! After that, I got a little thrill with each release of the shutter that I had never found with anything else. I had finally found my perfect travel companion in photography. My travels have been the biggest inspiration for me, fine-tuning my vision, and allowing me to shoot subjects that are emotionally moving and visually stunning.
With inspiration from other mentors and fellow photographers, my photography continues to evolve in subject matter and technique. Since settling down for awhile in Seattle, portrait and wedding photography have been my major focus. The next plan is to combine my talent for capturing the essence of places with weddings to launch my destination wedding photography business.
