Jennifer+Mark | Whidbey Island wedding photography | Freeland Hall

Seattle couple, Jennifer and Mark, have a connection to Whidbey Island, and they chose to have their wedding take place there at Freeland Hall. This was an unusual wedding for me, because I sort of split my time with another photographer who was also hired. The plus side of this arrangement was that I could put all of my focus on the groom’s family who started the day at their rental house that overlooked Puget Sound.

Mark and his grooms men were getting ready there, along with family and friends of the family. Some of the guests were simply enjoying the view. 🙂

The wedding ceremony took place in the back of Freeland Hall, which also had an amazing view of the Sound. The reception was both inside and outside, and I really enjoyed all of the DIY details that brought out the full potential of this awesome venue. Seriously, I could have spent all day capturing cool shots of the decor!

The first look took place early, which I prefer, because couples then often choose to get their group photos done before the ceremony, and that often means more time.  After that we headed down to the water to get the bridal party group shots . Later we spent some time with a family Mustang, which was a fun prop!
